Life in the log pile

Hi everyone,

After more sad news from the swallows under the swing bridge, we've now got a new webcam - bringing you an up-close insight into the hidden world among the dead wood.

We've popped the webcam right in front of a log pile.  It might seem strange, but we've already got face-to-face with lots of visitors.

Watch out for wrens and other garden birds flitting among the logs and foxes and weasels popping in for a quick meal.  Mice, shrews and voles scurry along the wood and you might even spot a toad ambling by.  If you look really closely, you can make out the fungi - on Sunday morning the logs were covered in lots of jelly ear fungi after the rain on Saturday.

We can't wait for you to tell us what you spot.

Ben.
