A few ninutes ago walkng onto the top of the Haverton Hill Viewpoint at Saltholme and about 6 feet in front of me and standing-on top of a bush was a Marsh Harrier . Then i tried to get a photo, but the Marsh Harrier flew off. This is what makes birdwatching so interesting. Sometimes you have the luck as seeing a Marsh Harrier so close today,, but i didn't get that photo!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
