Back again today, managed to get the right train connections and was in the Kingfisher Hide by just after 9am, unfortunately due to work commitments I was unable to hang around today, and only managed an hour and a bit, and sadly to say was disappointed not to see either of the Kingfishers... Yesterday afternoon was incredibly quiet with no real movement from 1pm onwards, is there a brood there? Seems doubtful, if there were surely the adults would by now be feeding the chicks. I left R&B to it and hoping they had better luck than I.

However a slow walk back to the centre and popping in to the Gadwall and Draper hides produced some lovely sightings of Teal, Wigeon, Gadwall, Lapwing, and to finish it off a lovely Green Sandpiper, and a couple of Male and Female Pheasants looking rather striking.

Please someone keep us up to date on the Kingfishers I'm crossing all sorts of bits in the hope that they have been successful.
