Despite several visits, the Ibis continues to elude me but I did manage on one visit to catch a nice sighting of
this little beauty, who stopped whizzing around the tree long enough for me to grab this shot...
Great shot Dai! Re. the Ibis - I've had all my luck from the lay-by (seen them four times) so stay in your car with a flask of coffee for a couple of hours and you should see them, if they haven't moved on with this cold weather!
Thanks John, I might give that a go, if as you say they haven't moved on - that would be my luck if they have!
Great shot Dai, I've been inundated with Treecreepers so far this year without the chance to get a good shot, ... "Yet".
Good to see they do stop flitting about, mostly on the other side of the tree, for long enough to catch them :)
Best regardsNigel

Slightly better anything I have ever managed of a tree creeper! ;o)
Stonking shot!

I have come to the conclusion that my local Treecreeper has developed some sort of "Camera Detection System", as on several occasions over the last few days it has Posed at distances that would require Macro focusing, if only I had the camera with me LOL. Whenever I take the camera it's back to flitting about skulking around the other side of the tree.
Do you think people would stare if I camped out by the tree, in the middle of the estate, in full camo gear ....
They almost certainly would but do you care? What is more important - getting a great Treecreeper shot or worrying about being abused by passers by? I would, however, try to avoid being seen by children - they can be particularly cruel to people sitting in full cameo gear.... :-)

I nearly trod on someone staking out a Kingfisher perch at Forest Farm last week ... ;o)
Spend some time today going through un-edited images, (6 frames a second doesn't help with the quantity, so still have a few left to look at), and came across this image, not quite there but getting closer :)
