I love it, great shot. Obviously not too great for the expired rodent in its chops, but a cracking shot all the same.
It was a young stoat, that's only a field mouse or vole in it mouth. ;o)

You're on a roll Ponty - well done - have seen a stoat down the Wetlands on a couple of occasions but never been able to photograph one and certainly not one having his lunch!

They are brilliant little critters ..
The second one I have seen there .. the first one I wouldnt have photographed if I had been pointing the camera right at it it was so fast, this one was slightly more obliging!
Is this thread visible for everyone to see, or just the Newport Wetlands subscribers?
Now wondering whether this is a weasel ... short tail .. no black tip .. and someone else has put a pic up on here and said Weasel ... oh the old conundrum of these critters! ;o)
