Visit Report 27-12-10

Down the Wetlands today.  Still a lot of snow and ice in the car park and paths.

Pretty quiet but did see curlew and oyster catchers on the foreshore, kestrel, marsh harrier and a buzzard along with a pheasant and flocks of finches, mainly goldfinches.  Cath - a crow was seated on top of the lighthouse - thought it might have been the kestrel from a distance - but  I couldn't get near enough to take a pic before he flew off.  No sign of the bittern which one chap said he has seen three times down there recently.
