Fairly quiet there yesterday.A bit to breezy to get any photos. Managed a couple, I've added one to the gallery.
As for spotting. The Kingfisher made an appearance whilst I was having my Brie and Cranberry Sarnie (yep, it's gone up market!). Whilst I was out on the reserve, the usual suspects were around. The two swans, a couple of little egrets, one heron.
Whilst hanging around the lighthouse area for a sighting of the bearded tits, I got a nice photo of a female reed bunting. Out on the mud banks there were a fair few waders, but too far off for me to ID with any kind of confidence. There was a curlew and sandpiper closer to shore. The stonechats were chasing ahead of me along the sea wall as I walked towards the copse. I stuck a picture up of one in the gallery.
When I got down to the copse, the hen harrier was being mobbed by a couple of crows/ jackdaws. I also accidently flushed it when I went back out in the afternoon. I saw a kestrel briefly. There is still loads of clearing work going on there, and was quite shocked to see how much of the reed banking they have taken away, glad I got that picture of the reed warbler when I did now! ;o)
