Finally finished editing my first Waxwing video - there's another one in the can of the yellow-berried tree.
Absolutely lovely, John. I wonder if these are the ones who were seen in Machynlleth last week?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks Clare! I wonder, one of them, at about 3 minutes in, has a yellow ring. I'll check through my still shots to see if I can make out any numbers and then perhaps it could be tracked.
Fantastic video John. Great to see them in such clear detail. I haven't seen them by our house for a couple of weeks but believe some are still around the area.
Kind regards
Jenny
Great vid footage JL, thanks for sharing!

Lovely video John, really clear images, they didn't seem too much in a hurry to eat, even dropping a berry now and again, looking forward to your next video on the yellow berries.
Lot to learn
Oh dear, John, It seems I have accidentally flagged your beautiful post when I was trying to 'like' it--so sorry and I do not know how to undo it! Help, anyone?
Kind regards, Ann
Just lovely John, they are funny little acrobatics when you see them swinging around he branches. They soon make quick work of those berries and were not even bothered by what I presume was the car wash at the supermarket.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement Jenny, Wendy, Gaynor, Ann and Catlady.
Ann don't worry, I did the same thing myself once, by accident and it was all resolved with emails from the moderators.
Gaynor having looked at the clips I've got of the yellow-berried visit I'm not sure it will make a good video, because there aren't as many decent clips, but i could just put a link on here rather than making it public if you're still curious.
Go for it John, the more pics we can peruse the better in my opinion. I know the red berries are the Rowan, but what tree are the yellow berries on?
No need to worry, we noticed it had been flagged so thank you for the explanation!
