It has been remiss of me to not post any photos of Beardies recently as I have a few from the last couple of months and I know it gives encouragement to friends still hoping to see them that they are still around. The first set are from the beginning of October, the second from the end of October and the last few plus the video from about a week ago.
Above Early October
Above late October when i saw a flock of 9!
Last week
Thank you John. An encouragement to keep trying when the weather is nice by the look of the images.
Definitely helps JNpt!
Heard plenty down there but only the briefest of glimpses for me this year
Wonderful pics John, great to see them in the sunshine with the blue sky as backdrop.
Lot to learn
Fantastic set of photos John and love the sound of "pinging" on the video and the handsome male.

Brilliant John, and as close as I've got to these guys, they are so wonderfully photogenic
Thanks folks! It has to be said this hasn't been a brilliant year for Beardies. In the past there have always been hordes of juveniles around the bridge in late July and August but apart from the pair nesting and making continue flights back to their nest in the middle of the reed bed in late June/early July sightings from the bridge haven't been so frequent. Also in the past iIve seen huge flocks in flight but not recently however I will never tire of seeking out these gorgeous birds, as Nicky says they're so photogenic!
