Finally got around to editing the video of the Great Write Egret I saw last week. Seen as a threat and competitor by one of the resident Grey Herons it is certainly big enough to hold it's own and undoubtedly would if it's mate had still been there! It's surely only a matter of time before it becomes as widespread as the very successful Little Egrets!

Pesky heron, fabulous to see the Great White Egret John and how many Little Egret were there feeding, seemed like quite a number.

Thanks Bob and Gaynor - it was such a treat to finally see the Great White as they've been reported a few times but I've always 'just missed it'.
Gaynor at one point there were about six in that patch which I recorded - I might do a separate video about them!
