There were no Wheatears on the sea wall yesterday but as it was high tide when I visited there were lots of waders and waterfowl on the lagoons. Viewed from hide one the first thing I noticed was this Buzzard that inconvenience sat on a post in front of the sea-wall hide.
Moving down to hide two I managed a couple of more shots.
It was still a considerable distance away and I guessed it would be gone by the time I got down to the sea-wall which proved to be the case. From the wall I viewed this Kestrel
Not a particularly impressive shot - too far away and in overcast lighting conditions.
Down on the shoreline i saw a little gathering of waders some distance away - Oystercatchers stood out.
Back to the lagoons.
Back to the lagoons and numerous waders with Shoveler, Teal, Egrets, Canada Geese and Shelduck.
Good sightings JL & your Kestrel capture will do me nicely thanks, love to see that familiar pose & can just imagine her suddenly diving for the prey, great!
Had news this evening, with pics, of numbers of Sanderling at Pegwell & vid of Beardies in the reed beds there too ... Weather set fair here for Sunday, guess where I'll be?

Thanks Wendy - good luck with your Sunday trip, I don't think I've seen a Sanderling but I do find it difficult to distinguish between them and Knots - hope you manage to see the Beardies they're elusive little critters!
Great to see all the waders John and extra bonus to see the Buzzard and Kestrel, had to laugh at the Magpie who was deciding whether to obey the notice lol

Really kind of you to let me know you enjoyed the post Hazel - especially that we were both thinking the same thing about the Magpie!
