Cold but fine and quite sunny with a slight breeze today. Weasel crossed the lane at the start of our walk. Plenty of Reed Buntings and Stonechats evident in the reed beds. Reed Buntings are very obvious in close groups. Most interesting area was the wood. Saw Wrens, Long Tailed Tits, Treecreeper and Bullfinches. On the way back, one field was full of Fieldfare and Redwing.
My camera only seems to get used to take pictures of Stonechats and Reed Buntings. They pose so well and allow for close views. So here's one of each plus a distant shot of fieldfare just to add another picture.
I was hoping to get down there tomorrow but something else has come up so hope weather still good on Monday. Nice pictures though Colin.
Nice shots Colin. I know what you mean about about the Stonechats and Reed Buntings being the only show in town at the moment. I have seen a weasel at the very top and the very bottom of Perry Lane over the past couple of years and one on a sluice gate but there's never time to take a shot.
