For a bit of fun the biggest bird in the sky today was this (don't know my planes). Two of them flew over the reserve this afternoon.
Only other thing of note a distant Curlew at Goldcliff. Taken with 100mm to 400mm lens at 400mm and heavily cropped. Lighting not brilliant either.
Glad you caught that David. I believe they were Lockheed Hercules C130s.
I was hoping to get down to Uskmouth or Goldcliff this afternoon but had to get back for an appointment and saw the planes as I was driving down Chepstow Road. So unusual to see prop driven aircraft these days. Nice Curlew shot!
