Visited again today and pleased to say saw a male Blackcap plus a Cetti's Warbler but still after 2 years have not seen a Beardie. What made it even worse today was that we spoke to a couple of people who had seen a Beardie and showed us the photos. Never mind keep plugging away it is bound to happen sometime, isn't it!!!!
Sorry David - I thought I'd replied to this last night but for some reason it didn't post. Just to say it could have been me because I was lucky enough to spot a couple from the pontoon bridge yesterday and got a couple of snaps. I didn't see or hear the Cuckoo that's been reported but did see a Whitethroat, Blackcap. Chiffchaff and Cetti's, so a nice set of Warblers and also a Water Rail. .Also yesterday heard a weird noise from a bush down at the junction of Fish House Lane and the loop from Salt Marsh Lane, that could have been a Savi's Warbler!

No it wasn't us you spoke to John, I think I know you by sight at least. You are very often seen with a small video camera. :)
David I'll give you a heads-up if I spot a pattern as Beardies seem to keep to the same spots and routes for a few days once the fledglings are about!
I've had reasonable but very short views of Cetti's recently. I've heard Beardies call and fly past, looking forward to some better views. Your photos are crisp and clear John. It looks like they came close to the edge of the reeds.
Thanks John, I think it's Goldcliff and Uskmouth again today.
