Well, after a hugely exciting day yesterday and a record thread, what will today bring? Will Bynack fledge at 50 days old or will he wait for another day?
Guess we will have to wait and see. No prophecies from me as I am usually wrong....mind you, having said that, I didn't do too bad with Rothes and Rothimurchus migration times did I? :)
Ok, will stick my neck out and say Bynack will wait another day at least. Ok come on, prove me wrong Bynack! :)

Ohhhh CIRRUS! She's grown up too quick!!
And Bynack will be all alone ... sigh.
The wide cam shows Bynack alone on the nest just out of sight on the right. It is too dark to snap a picture of him. Tore may sleep in a tree tonight. She seems to like the feeling of standing on a branch
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Yes, BARBARA, I think she does - a proper perch. It's what their ''toes'' are all about isn't it , but I feel sorry for our 'wee' lad all alone with noone to snuggle next to.
Good night everyone :)
Aw how sad to see Bynack alone on the nest but it has to come. The weather is good and the sun will be up in a few hours. EJ won't be far away. Goodnight osprey viewers.

Interesting parallel. As we know we used to call Tore, Star. Well it so happens that the last osprey juvenile that we knew as Star spent the first night after fledging away from the nest and always did so after that. Mind you she always turned up for breakfast. See this thread

I must get a grip and stop being so soppy and, after all, EJ is keeping her watchful eyes over them! On that note, I'm going to have to hit the hay. Goodnight CIRRUS, DAISY, BARBARA, CC, EVERYONE - once again it's been a real pleasure :)
Hear, hear, Hazel. Goodnight, All. But I'm still watching!
Not gone yet! Didn't see your post as I was typing TIGER. Interesting parallel indeed and you are right - surely she will turn up for breakfast. (2006? I struggle to remember last week sometimes LOL). Thank you TIGER.
Really am going now. Goodnight ALL.
Hi whoever is still around, back from choir practice and the pub. Watched a bit of tele and am now catching up. For one minute there in the back posts I thought Bynack had fledged only to read a little later that he hadn't.
Never mind, tomorrow is another day!!!! Can't see either of them on the nest so assume Bynack is off screen, noises, perched on the edge of the nest but don't know if Tore is their as well??
Looks peaceful scene, widewebcam is just black now.
Thanks for all the updates and super captions as always.
