Happy Easter to all
Alan says. . . . Another hot day. Even hotter than yesterday with the temp now 24.8c .Hey Alan - Hot????? We call that "mild". Today expecting 23C here, currently 22.6C.
I have some catching up to do. My apologies to those whose questions I’ve not answered.
Sheila says AQ . . . . I love your travelogue! You are so descriptive and your photos are lovely too. I take it you have an interest in churches. Is this from an historical perspective, or architectural? Sheila - Both really. I like old things and I love the stonework and shape of old churches. I don’t go into it too deeply. Couldn’t name the styles.
OG says AQ . . . . Oh dear! Sorry the paint saga doesn’t have a happy ending. Is it just reflecting the colour of the carpet? OG - We thought at first it was just the reflection but we have laid a quite red Turkish mat across one end and paint is still greenish. We shall just have to buy more paintings and cover the walls as I saw in some stately homes in England. LOL
SheilaFE said: Thank you Cirrus & Margo, so my secret is safe. One lovely piece of information I have gleaned in the series of photos is that the bridesmaid's sashes are made of pale gold, wild silk, which is tucked at the front and tied at the back in a sumptuous bow. As a special memento, the Bridesmaid's name and the date of the wedding have been hand-embroidered onto the lining of each dress. What a lovely memento for the young bridesmaids.

Oh, I think that is just so wonderfull, Sheila. How fantastic for them.
Sheila FE thanks for that info about bridesmaids dresses what a lovely idea and a wonderful momento as you say.
Lynette thanks for your pics, such a happy day and wonderful to watch.

SheilaFE,now I know why yours were so good - taken from the DT website hey! Mine I took with my new Canon A3100 and zoomed into the tv screen thats why they are not perfect. It really doesn't matter how we all got the pics as long as we have the memory of such a wonderful day and as Margo described it - perfect simplicity, all of the major people were downdressed if there is such a word and really complemented the bride.
AQ - glad you enjoyed your birthday meal as Joan her lunch.
Diane - so sorry to read about the bad weather hitting your part of the world, do hope it doesn't get any worse.
Thanks for all your posts and updates. As I watch EJ there is still no sound at LG.but Mrs. Goshawk is sitting again after having a stretch and preen.

That is such a nice thing to do for the bridesmaids - thanks Sheila for the info.
Afternoon everyone. Thanks for all the news. Turned on the TV to see them just leaving the church. Have recorded it so can see the best bits (fly past etc later) I did notice a loose horse for a bit!
I'll try and reply more later but SHELIA in the small world category we are going to South Woodstock, about 5 miles south (surprisingly) of Woodstock itself:) (Dibnlib, great there are plenty of places in Scotland that welcomes dogs:)
Mmm, dibnlib, Champagne. Now that sounds an excellent idea! Now, I wonder whether we have one hidden away for a special occasion? Enjoy your walk.
I don't know why Victoria B is always to 'poker faced', because when she smiles she just lights up. All part of the image perhaps! She was like that during the Spice Girls days. HM is just great, and not forgetting her OH, 90 in June. Amazing. I believe the bookies were putting bets on him falling asleep, but I don't think he did! So we have the Diamond Jubilee to look forward to in Olympics year. What a summer we can look forward to.
BBC has just shown a clip of one of the clergy doing cartwheels down the red carpet in the Abbey!!!! Just about sums up an excellent day for them all.

I'm interested in your comment about the horse Gary, because I was blipping between BBC and ITV when I thought I saw a loose horse, but never saw it again. I wonder what happened to the rider. Certainly there was no commentary about it.
And yet another smile on my face. Wills and Kate have just left Buck House for Clarence House prior to this evening's bash. Just as they were about to leave, but not yet seen, a Sea King Helicopter flew in low over London and up the Mall towards Buck House, with a banner hanging weighted on a long rope. Kate and Wills appeared with Wills driving himself in his father's extremely smart Aston Martin two seater!!! Kate was still in her wedding dress with her veil tucked neatly in to stop it blowing around. Red, white and blue ribbons were attached to the car from the bonnet to the windscreen, and red, white and blue balloons attached to the back. Wills and Kate looked delighted to see the helicopter as indeed was Prince Andrew watching events from the balcony! The helicopter was being flown by the team from RAF Valley on Anglesey.
Sorry, I seem to have prattled on a lot this afternoon.
