Happy Easter to all
Alan says. . . . Another hot day. Even hotter than yesterday with the temp now 24.8c .Hey Alan - Hot????? We call that "mild". Today expecting 23C here, currently 22.6C.
I have some catching up to do. My apologies to those whose questions I’ve not answered.
Sheila says AQ . . . . I love your travelogue! You are so descriptive and your photos are lovely too. I take it you have an interest in churches. Is this from an historical perspective, or architectural? Sheila - Both really. I like old things and I love the stonework and shape of old churches. I don’t go into it too deeply. Couldn’t name the styles.
OG says AQ . . . . Oh dear! Sorry the paint saga doesn’t have a happy ending. Is it just reflecting the colour of the carpet? OG - We thought at first it was just the reflection but we have laid a quite red Turkish mat across one end and paint is still greenish. We shall just have to buy more paintings and cover the walls as I saw in some stately homes in England. LOL
One huge advantage of a Royal Wedding, is that no one is using MY broadband. Not only can I view YouTube without interruption, but dear EJ has been on the screen all the time without freezing. Bliss!!

Wonderful captures Sheila - such good quality . How did you take them?
I cheated and have probably contravened every copyright imaginable, but I won't tell if you don't... from the Daily Telegraph web page.
Sheila FE was so excited by what I had watched that I think I called it Abbey instead of Cathedral. Thanks for the wedding pics you have put on, going to save them. That dress was just beautiful, was trying to tell OH about it but kept getting tearful trying to do it. I think this will be a marriage that will last, they both seem so well grounded and I wish them every happiness.

Margo it is Abbey. Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral. I couldn't help but remember a rather solemn Charles walking back down the aisle in St Paul's in 1981, so unlike Wills today. They do really look so happy.
Folk at St Andrews University being interviewed - in brilliant sunshine.
Newly weds will be leaving Buck House around 3.30pm to get ready for the evening gig.
Cirrus glad yo have seen the bit you missed. I missed PM's wife but what a shame no hat, a perfect time to wear one. I agree simplicity and elegance was in force today apart from a couple of really silly hats.
Sheila FE I won't let on either.
Your secret is safe with me Sheila :) What a good idea - one can just study and study the stills.Thank you

Thank you Cirrus & Margo, so my secret is safe. One lovely piece of information I have gleaned in the series of photos is that the bridesmaid's sashes are made of pale gold, wild silk, which is tucked at the front and tied at the back in a sumptuous bow. As a special memento, the Bridesmaid's name and the date of the wedding have been hand-embroidered onto the lining of each dress. What a lovely memento for the young bridesmaids.
Well, the main part of the great day is over and what a privelege to watch the happy couple exchange their vows. Weather stayed perfect for them. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as me.Like Sheila, 3 pics for your delactation, l from the Abbey and two from the balcony.
Sheila, you managed to get one of the dress beautifully, a lot better than mine. The crowds were magnificent and such a happy atmosphere. Lets hope it has boosted morale and the start of better things to come.

Enjoyed the wedding and thought Kates' dress was so very beautiful and the train complemented dress perfectly. The military men looked great and the Queen looked lovely and as mentioned before no ugly black shoes. Always enjoy seeing the bride curtsey to the Monarch and Kate did that very nicely. Agree on Victoria Beckhams poker face, also think Her Maj should smile more as it lights up her face.
One major complaint on coverage. Why oh why did the Beeb keep showing us Elton John. Once was more than enough and there were many people we would have preferred to see than Elton John again and again.
Enjoyed our champagne lunch and will shortly be walking it off with Dillon( no champagne for him!!!)
