HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH and HAPPY SUMMER!
I hope everyone has a good week.
I saw the Red-Bellied Woodpecker pair today. They were both drumming loudly where the walls of my enclosed porch meet the roof. The male flew at the window menacingly when he saw me glaring at him, and then he landed in the tree next to the porch and looked at me defiantly. He knows I'll yell at him for drilling on the house. LOL LOL He's a feisty bird. I was glad to see him with a mate.
Be sure to check back to last week's thread to see the lovely photo posted by Lindy of her granddaughter and Bonnie the dog.
Love and hugs to everyone.
Hello to all
My Kindle tablet is playing up and it took me ages to get on here this morning - so if I disappear from the site you will know the reason why ! I think I shall have to get a new one.
Hello All. We're back in Wales again as my OH wanted a break. Too busy to write just now but will do replies later today....
Hi, everyone. My phone service/internet has now been restored, at least for now, and I'll start the new thread tonight.
HEATHER: I hope your Kindle holds up. Technology is a wonderful thing, but dang it can be annoying.
ANNETTE: Have a safe drive to Arizona tomorrow. I'll bet you'll be glad when you don't have to make that long drive anymore. I would hate that, but you are a far better driver than I am. PLEASE be careful in the heat wave. I read that the temps there are ghastly. Let the workers spread that gravel. That's very hard work. Good of you to hire people to do it and save your granddaughter's back.
LINDY: I know your life has been hard recently. I hope you feel better and can enjoy some respite in Wales. I am wishing that your OH will get very, very good news soon. Sending you strength. I care, LINDY.
Great news, Diane! So pleased you're back to normal service. Thanks for thinking of me.
Sunny here now, but a wind too cold to let us sit outside. At least its not raining, which we know it is in some parts of the UK.
My OH is looking/actiing normal but I know he's worried. I'm going to cook his favourite steak & onions tonight.
Heather, sorry you've got gadget problems, how annoying. Hope you can get a replacement.
OG. You sound better but sorry to hear that J has a toothache.
Our peonies were coming out as we left home on Friday.. .
Lindy - O the lovely raindrops on that peony ... thank you for sharing. Gave me a big smile.
An interesting day today. A friend and I went to a Flower Festival at another church in our Circuit. We were a little disappointed. What they had was good, but there wasn't very much. Lunch was very good, though. Then we went to a birthday party for a couple from church - he about to be 90 and she 80. A lovely get-together with lots of people we know. And the birthday cake was delicious! Now I'm going to relax and watch the cricket.
DIANE - pleased your communications are restored!LINDA - hope your OH will have a good rest and not too much driving - and that you both stay well while away. I don't like to grow peonies, but that one is lovely!
PAT - good way to spend a Saturday.
