Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
It looks as though our LG birds have finally gone. It has been sad year again for us, but the prospect of hopefully a better one next year. Safe flights Asha, Brodie, klive, who will return next year I wonder and what will happen on our most famous nest? Thanks to all who have covered the nest and kept us updated. You can have a rest now!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
.Good to see you, CATLADY - I know you've been a regular, I always keep an eye out for you.
No sign of GARDENBIRDER(Ann) all season - I PM'd her but got no response.
05 September
A clearer picture of our Buzzard than usual (well I hope it's our Buzzard - you'll probably tell me it's a Blue Tit )
Correction - it's a SPARROWHAWK
No little birdie invasion up to noon.
Just look at the nuances of colour in the wet raven ! and sunshine on the feathers is truly awesome. Thank you Scylla, he/she is truly beautiful
Thank you Scylla and everyone else for your continued watch on these nests - it really is appreciated by those of us that drop in to see how things are progressing (or not as may be the case). Se you all next year.
PS -looks like a juvenile sparrowhawk to me
Yes, definitely sparrowhawk
Thank you, HANK & JILL !!!
Having been informed by https://www.youtube.com/@susancooper9577 that it's a Sparrowhawk, I researched it and have just come here to correct myself and proudly add that it must be a juvie because it has yellow eyes - but I've been gazumped there.
I did have serous doubtts when I titled it. Ah well, at least it wasn't a Blue Tit.
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the information and time that you have spent this season on here. Although sad to witness what happened at the start of the season, I've learnt so much more about the osprey due to being able to see them in different circumstances than we usually do.
Take care, everyone. Let's hope the time goes quick until they return

Thanks for the thanks, HOLLY - much appreciated by all, I'm sure
Definitely a Buzzard this morning - but miles away in the mist - it was there for 25 minutes:
lovely bird. Thanks Scylla

Hmm, the site it slowing down.
07 September
You'll understand why I've made this Unlisted - I put the sound on from the nestcam but there's not a peep out of the birdie, just fly-in and -out. But I wonder if some other mini-critters are making noises.
Will anyone venture to correct my ID?
