Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.

The name Klive is brilliant. I won't use it simply because im still mad at him following his destruction of the nest
The thought of Brodie fighting back is exciting!
Asha - don't know if she managed to get a pellet up or not:
On the PTZ view the strikes were so close together I couldn't imagine how one Osprey could have turned and built up such speed for the second - must there have been 2 Ospreys? But no, it's quite clear on the nest cam that Brodie (? no chance of an ID this time!) turned and returned for the second strike.
I don't think that feathers flew - I think that fine nest material did the first time and bigger twigs and sticks the second.
No-one seen after Klive went flying after Brodie, belatedly.

I haven't been watching but noticed at 05:33 a successful mating, presumably with Klive.
Am doing Glaslyn at the mo.
05:33 Klive to nest - attempted (S?) mating
I agree it was successful, RJFan
I'm off now, SYAL.
13 May
See how the campeople and nest furniture conspire to constrain my artistic efforts? For a start, there needed to be more space above his head, one had to make it lop-sided and fill in the left. Sigh.
Anyway, this is another "tell the difference" one for Glider, the open beak being the giveaway again but subtler this time
I didn't try to put the sound on from the nestcam cos it was so distant and would have taken so long to sync the particular few bars:
I'm looking forward to CANUCK's matings report in due course. Do we think there's a chance that Asha will be laying eggs in time after all? Moreover, I've noticed her nestorising - not often, but...
.18:35 (Just for a change. I don't use most of the silly shapes in PhotoScape X.)
Wow, another dive bombing of Klive with a fish.well captured Scylla.
We have bookends at the moment. Asha on cam perch, and Klive on the nest perch! Asha is calling for fish.
