Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
May 9 at 15:15. While KL5 and Asha on the nest, an unringed O hovers over the nest. KL5 rises up to give chase.
Canuck said: If ever you want to see the number of mating attempts and their timing during the day, find my summary post of them. I update it throughout the day. Here was yesterday's that I posted earlier in the thread. I try to post them in a timely manner but sometimes I am late.
I feel your pain, Canuck and I apologise
I'm always late and when I read back to catch up the blooming text is so faint these days I just can't focus on it, a lot of the time
No problem Scylla. You have your hands full with capturing all the videos, etc. (And for multiple nests too!)
Scylla, there was a pair of Crossbills, male and female, on the nest for several minutes about 1625, until scared of by a returning Osprey

A beautiful colour. Thank you for spotting it.
It seems we've had the company of Asha who has been, gone, returned so far. And the spider.
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
21.25 Asha was on the nest on her own.
21.26 she flew off suddenly and escorted KLive back to the nest full of expectation of a fish. He had nothing. Asha showed her displeasure and was calling, loudly
21.31 KLive left.
Asha went up to the cam perch
22.02 Asha left for her overnight roost away from the nest. It was nearly dark.
Can you tell which is which?
Klive had a mucky beak:

Thank you Richard
The PTZ view, edited down to 1 minute:
10 May 04:36 silhouette of osprey on ravens perch
4:55 osprey on perch flies to nest and begins food soliciting. KL5 lands on her back. Unsuccessful mating attempt.

Scylla, I absolutely can’t tell the difference between Asha and Brodie which is why I don’t post here and leave it to all you Garten experts so I can “enjoy” reading about what’s been happening!
Thank you to everyone for the detailed observations and captures of this most special nest. It’s such a shame how things have turned out this season, but at least there is maintained interest in the nest. I remember staring at only beautiful scenery surrounding an empty nest before Asha (then Mistle) arrived then returned again the next year.
