Foulshaw Moss 2023: Three chicks raised - Blue 8C1, a male weighing 1.45kg; Blue 8C2, a female weighing 1.52kg; Blue 8C3, a female weighing 1.73kg. (Info taken from CWT's ringing blog It's another milestone which includes more stats of the youngsters)

Esthwaite 2023: Unringed female (arrived 25th March) and 7A(14),'son' of Blue 35 & White YW, (arrived 26th March) successfully raised three chicks - 7C8, female, weighing 1.67kg, 7C9, male, weighing 1.46kg and 7C0, female, weighing 1.68kg

Female Blue 35 - Hatched 2010 - Kielder 1 nest: 2023 arrival date 31st March
Male White YW - Hatched 2008 - Bassenthwaite: 2023 arrival date 27th March
Wishing both pairs a safe migration back to their respective nests and for each to have another successful season.

I've just discovered that the main cam hasn't been downloading all day 28th - they'd changed the URL and I didn't notice. So I've only got the 360 Axis and that's no good for Osprey recognition! So I'm writing off the day. Just as well we've got you good peeps to keep us informed.

A busy day on the nest, a fish was seen in 35's talons but I couldn't see where it came from.
30 March
An early start (after YW, I think, had already been in to warn off unknown threat)... this was completion of successful mating:
09.58 Blue N0 (2017) intruded at Dyfi nest this morning. BOP have notified Foulshaw Moss.

All day, as captioned in this vid, the lens was blurred by rainblobs and mist - in the evening, a failed mating to end the day. I wondered if Blue35 is feeling a little under the weather?
