I was talking to a long standing member of this group and they remarked that I did not post here much but I still know what is going on. Well i still read a lot of the post and this is still one of the best sources of osprey history.
For the record I have been a member of this group since it opened on 21 July 2009. That is over fourteen years.
So how long have you been here and what have ospreys done for you?

The osprey chat thread for March 2013 seems to have been truncated.
This is really lovely! Then I was hooked and read through most of the thread. So great to feel the excitement for the forthcoming season. My ears pricked up reading of 'an orphan chick on nest N' crikey how did that drama unfold and end?

Where is the reference to the orphan osprey?
Maybe this THREAD will give some further reading, scroll down to Tigers links and also read earlier postings

Hi it is quite a few pages down that thread. And reads; Keith Rogers 14 Mar 2013 In reply to MaryGK: Thought for the day before retiring (+4 Hours Tiger) Reading of 5N (04)'s Offspring would it be not great if we saw either of 2011 fledgings from nest O this coming year and more so if one of them was the orphaned chick from nest N. This could emulate 12(10) and her sibling I would think

Yes but I am not sure that the orphaned chick from site N is the right way to describe it. Ok dad was shot and mum abandoned the eggs. The eggs were put in an incubator and one chick hatched. This chick was place in the nest at site O giving a four chick nest. One of the chicks died but it was not clear whether it was chick hatched from the Site N nest.
Freebird66 said:Hi again Thank you very much for taking the time to explain about the chick in this instance. It is very interesting to hear about humanintervention on some of the nests.
Any more questions.
