HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL SUPERMOON!
The moon turns full on Tuesday, 1 August, in the UK and the US. Then, on 30 August, a full Blue moon will occur (the second full moon in a month). Both are supermoons (perigean moons, which are full moons that happen at or near the exact time when the moon is closest to earth in its orbit, so they appear larger and brighter). The August Blue moon will be the closest of the year!
I hope everyone has a peaceful, joyful week. Love to all.
It's been totally grey all day here, and even when its not been raining its been getting ready to rain!! Ugh. OG - I'm afraid that in my head the Piano is.... ... The Piano! In a class of its own! Glad that J is feeling better. Hope you can enjoy your quiet weekend. We have lots and lots of magpies, and can hardly look out of the window without seeing one or two. Or even 8! A few years ago there seemed to be just a pair of them but I think they've increased because no one goes onto pastures new, but stays within the family! Our family descended upon us for lunch, on their way home from their holiday. I gave them pizza (bought) and various bits to graze upon. The children didn't touch the tomatoes or salad, but fell upon all the stodge with gusto - at least they ate something! A bit of chocolate brownie afterwards and then they were ready to watch cartoons on TV whilst the adults had a chat. We had a strong cup of tea after waving them off. It seemed very quiet all of a sudden!

Cheer up. At least Loch Garten likes you. It's quite something to have a piece of your writing on display for countless visitors to see and admire!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
