Egg No. 1 laid 20 April - Hatched 27 May (37 days)
Egg No. 2 laid 23 April - Hatched 29 May (36 days)
Egg No. 3 laid 26 April - Hatched 1 June (37 days) Sadly, this little chick died on 3rd June. It coincided with LJ2 having a leg injury and unable to fish at the time. I don’t know if this was the sole reason, part of the reason or something else. RIP little one

Mari mantles as Dilys comes towards her.
Dilys closely watches Mari
15.55 Mari secures her grip on the fish
and for the first time, she takes it off the nest. This bird is a really quick learner!
Mari landed in the middle of here.
Dilys didn’t have to wait too long to get a fish of her own.
16.17 LJ2 landed with a fine headless fish.

17.53 Mari (I think, as I can’t read the darvic ring) lands on the nest and grasps the fish.
She flew over the nest with the fishThen took it away to the trees beyond.

Mari was over first to take the fish

She lands in front of the nest

21.19 Dilys ends up lying on the piece of fish skin as she settles for the night.
