  • Brenig FB shared the fledging news earlier

    here

  • 18.26  LM6 brought in a whole fish. She certainly catches big ones!

Guess who was there to take it?? Yes, of course, Mari Smile Watched by Dilys.

Mari moved around the nest with it until she found a comfortable place to eat.

    18.32

    18.47 LM6 joined the girls

  • 19.12. LM6 waited until Mari moved away from the fish before she approached it.

19.13. She then flew off with it.

19.19. Dilys tidied up scraps on the nest

19.25. She then decided to go for another wee flight to the trees ahead again.

19.26. Mari lifted her wings as if she thought about following Dilys but LM6 then arrived back on the nest with the fish.

19.30. Having eaten already, Mari wasn’t hungry so LM6 ate by herself.

19.40. Dilys returned from her wee trip

19.40. LM6 left then Dilys went over to the fish to have a feed.

  • The rain is on again
20.03 Dilys walks away from what’s left of the fish.

20.04 She feaks her beak on some sticks

20.06 I wonder what they’re thinking about tonight!

  • 21.26 What a night, not very pleasant at all. LM6 is with the youngsters on the nest.

    22.05

  • The girls had a good preen before thinking about setting off. 05.09

05.11 Mari moved to the nest edge followed by Dilys

05.12 They stood for a short while then Dilys was off first.

A few wing beats and couple of chips and away she goes

Mari watched as Dilys flew from right to left past the trees, then turning over the lake to return past the trees again.

It took Mari a wee while of watching, listening to Dilys calling, waiting around then nest then plucking up the courage to go.
    05.29

    05.40

06.08 LJ2 leaves to go to the cam pole.

The juvenile stays for a while preening. 06.48

06.54 The other juvenile lands in the treetops beyond the nest.

The juvenile on the perch leaves and lands on the nest a minute later, it’s Dilys. She’s immediately followed by LJ2.
