Thank you so much for posting the photos of Mike, great to see the lovely gentleman himself.

Thank you for "going on a bit",  Mary - wonderful from someone who had such a close relationship with him over the years - Mike has left all of us with happy memories, the only sadness is that he's no longer here.

I have just spoken Mike's wife Sylvia, she says that there will be a Link to his funeral which is on 1st June, and when it becomes available she will let me have the details.   Then I will post it here.

I have the details for viewing Mikes Funeral live on line.    You have to log into the Obitus Website and put the User Name and Password as shown, and you will be able to view on line.    It is at 1400 hrs.

Sylvia sent me a couple of photos of Mike, one was taken last year when they were at the Dambusters Memorial at Woodhall Spa. 

The other was Mike when she first knew him.

When I first started to follow ospreys in 2017 Mike was one of the “big” names I always associated with the birds & I had a great respect for his knowledge. He popped up in the various groups & on livestream chats always ready to share his knowledge & the latest news. I was really pleased, & felt quite honoured, when he stepped in to help me sort out access to this forum, in the days when you could wait weeks to have your registration processed. I was happy that I could return his kindness at a later date when I was able to source one of the Lowes trilogy books for him to complete his set. He was thrilled. I was never fortunate enough to meet Mike personally & it’s lovely to see the photos of him in Scylla’s post. RIP Mike, fly high with the ospreys, heartfelt condolences to your loved ones.

What a lovely post, Mary C, I do remember Mike asking if anyone could help complete his set of the books from Lowes, how very kind of you.
