LJ2 arrived under an hour ago with a stick and moss. LM6 didn’t get up.
He returned a short while later just after 08.00 and got his first view of the chick.
The chick is arrowed under magnification. The top shell is the empty one.

It is indeed Karen, one more bobblehead to add to our Osprey season.
08.09 Mum leaves the nest for a quick comfort break leaving dad in charge. The little one is moving more and cheeping.
LJ2 waits for a short while then leaves. LM6 soon returns to brood her chick.
LM6 takes a while to settle down as she shuffles her position many times before finding the right one.
08.39 LJ2 flies onto the nest. LM6 starts intruder chipping.
LJ2 leaves within a minute
LM6 has stopped chipping. She gets up, readjusts and settles down again. Little bob snuggled in nicely at the front of the photo.
Around 09.05, another wee stretch for LM6 then back down again.
10.14 All quiet just now, apart from the 2 noisy geese flying by.
10.38 LM6 is up fish calling and the wee one is joining in.
It is hot on the nest today. LM6 is gular fluttering and up and down off the chick to give it some fresh air.
11.35 LM6 and little bob waiting on LJ2’s arrival.
I’m out for the rest of the day/night now. Hope that first meal comes soon.
Super news!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
12.55 LJ2 flies in with a large headless fish. LM6 had been calling on and off as she must’ve seen him bring it in and start eating it.
LM6 patiently offered little bob small pieces of fish and it managed to take a few.
The feed lasted over 10 minutes.
LJ2 left part way through to chase a crow.
