08.16 LJ2 arrives with a large clump of nesting material - grasses, a stick and a piece of bark.
LM6 then flew off.
She returned at 08.55 after a wee preening session on the perch.
09.25 another changeover
LM6 flies off to the left and over the water’s edge to stop nearby, marked green.
10.57 LM6 is heard calling, LJ2 is calling and LM6 returns to the nest.
Sounds like LM6 is telling LJ2 to go fishing. He does fly off the nest over the water but circles back to land where marked green.
12.53 LJ2 returns empty taloned as LM6 is fish calling to him.
LM6 has a close look at the eggs before she leaves.
I can’t see anything obvious but it’s not the sharpest image.
LJ2 nearly stands on an egg as he enters the nest cup. He shuffles them in before settling down.
13.32 LM6 returns to the nest, announcing her arrival.
She takes over incubation.
LM6 is on the nest all afternoon until 17.29 when LJ2 flies in with a chunky headless fish.
LM6 takes the fish
That should do her for a wee while!
LM6 arrives back at the nest at 19.34 carrying the fish tail
LJ2 gets up straight away and takes the tail from LM6
LM6 slips in the nest cup and and nudges an egg as she goes to start incubation
21.40 LM6 gets up off the eggs and flies away
After a few seconds, LJ2 lands on the nest and goes straight to the eggs.
LM6 headed to the perch
21.56 LM6 returns to the nest.
22.18 night cam comes on. 22.22 LJ2 joins LM6, arriving on the perch.
23.01 LJ2 still on the perch. Looks like he’s staying the night again.
LJ2 left the perch at 04.11. LM6 didn’t ask for a changeover or move from the eggs.
When LM6 left for a comfort break at 05.13, they all still looked whole, albeit one must’ve had a big crack!
Next time I got a good view was at 07.14, one egg broken and a wee bundle sitting curled up
07.45 and the little bobs wings it’s head up and straight down again. LM6 is calling for LJ2
even with magnification it’s difficult to see
