NC0 surprised us all when she arrived back at Lowes first, with Laddie making his initial landing exactly 6 hours later. She laid her three beautiful eggs after almost near-perfect, precise intervals of 72 hours between each one. Both Laddie and NC0 have regularly exchanged incubation duties and have been very attentive to protect their eggs, and nest, from multiple intrusions during April. The hatching window will open around the 10th May, all being well.

The RF's working for me again (I've added all of the pics to my previous posts)
00:25 Night, night
IMAGICAT
ugh .... a real tragic event. So very sorry Scylla- it must really smart
Morning All, NC0 went off for a comfort break at 7:46. #2 must have been resting on NC0's right foot and was knocked onto its back as she rose from the nest cup. Cam zoomed in on the chicks in time to see the little one right itself.
Hmm, behave yourself #1 !!
#2 ended up on its back
It got up after several seconds
Oh dear, and again!
This resulted on the pair of them on their backs!
Both got themselves up only for #1 start again; #2 submissive
Did #1 see NC0 on her way back to the nest?
NC0 settled to brood
My RF is not working again - getting fed up now as it's happening too many times! BFN (Pics edited in)
A catch up from this morning... NC0 has spent a few occasions on the side of the nest, maybe it's getting a little too warm to brood the chicks continually.
Laddie came to the nest at 11:00, NC0 was screaming for fish.
He stayed for only a couple of minutes before leaving
Laddie arrived again, with a stick this time at 11:49, not what NC0 wanted! NC0 was extremely vocal - even having a beautiful wing stretch didn't stop her from calling
In her haste in expecting a fsih delivery, she slipped into the net cup which made the chicks topple over
Laddie with his long, thin stick
Laddie moved the stick, part of which was on top of the nest cup
NC0 helped, both chicks went down as the end of the stick was dragged across
No harm done! NC0 continued to fish call
At 11:57, she left for a comfort break while Laddie stayed to keep an eye on the little ones
Laddie flew off at 12:01 with NC0's very dulcet tones ringing around the Loch!
Preening
13:10 No fish delivery as yet, NC0 quietly brooding the chicks
