NC0 surprised us all when she arrived back at Lowes first, with Laddie making his initial landing exactly 6 hours later. She laid her three beautiful eggs after almost near-perfect, precise intervals of 72 hours between each one. Both Laddie and NC0 have regularly exchanged incubation duties and have been very attentive to protect their eggs, and nest, from multiple intrusions during April. The hatching window will open around the 10th May, all being well.

Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
To be honest, Sheila, and only my opinion, I think this chick is from the 2nd egg and it hatched on its 36th day. I say that because from the pics I have of the first egg, that one has more white and big red 'splodges'. The second egg, had lots of small red 'dots' on one side as seen on the empty half shell NC0 removed yesterday. Happy to be proved wrong though.
23:58 NC0 went for a comfort break - chick was ok but quiet
NC0 returned and landed on the front edge of the nest
She moved the fish out of the nest cup
Settled down to brood

I suddenly got very tired and had to crash without posting this vid of NC0 eating, it's the one where Bob was chupping but didn't raise head. Oh for a timeline!
Into 15 May
22:00-02:15
Still no bites for the little mite:
It opened its beak just as NC0 was settling down:
EDIT - some time later I looked at this pic and it took me ages to 'resolve' the second snap, so here's a guide to what it shows:
EDITING IN FURTHER REVEALS UP TO 03:20, just for the record.
IMAGICAT
"Just for the record" again - Laddie arrived, seemingly hoping to find fish? Or hoping for a sight of his offspring? Anyway, he left with neither.
Did the Bob get a bite?
Too late again:
Laddie was in again, obviously hoping to see chick this time:
EDIT
I have to pack up now - the bob is looking strong despite adversity, so I do hope Laddie will be able to supply a fish and NC0 won't be so starving that she has to feed herself for long before feeding baby.

I took this at 04.45 - I didn't see any feeding, but the chick is looking surprisingly strong. NC0 fed herself before this vid starts, had her back turned but actions didn't indicate the chick was being fed.
Good morning All
Wow, fantastic updates and brilliant videos Scylla, thank you! Bob looks really good!
This was Laddie landing (just after NC0 had settled on the little one after it had a bite or two)
7:12 Laddie was at the nest (he flew off at 7:15). NC0 was requesting more fish
Edit: Thank you, Geemeff, for your video too!
