HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a joyful week. Sending love and healing to OG and EE.

I had thought that the Cardinals had chicks, but they don't yet. I think the male was just feeding his mate. 

The neighbors' chickens were loose yesterday, and they visited my yard and laid eggs. I guess it was a belated Easter gift. Lol

Everyone here was busy covering their plants today. It's turning cold again, and we have a warning for heavy frost and maybe even light snow! We had a couple of hot days,  but we can't seem to settle into spring this year. It's predicted to stay chilly the rest of the month now.

    AQ -- HAPPY ANZAC DAY - I meant to put that earlier but forgot.

    Sunny here, & I went to do battle with a photo machine in the dry cleaners. Managed to copy some of our pictures from our family gathering, but not thrilled with the quality. :-( May have to go elsewhere for some which I want enlarging, as they cannot be fuzzy. Have been in the garden feeding my peonies and sweet peas.
    Bought a card for Eldest, with a cartoon of someone doing a Zoom call on the front.

    Our granddaughter Rosie has injured her knee, or more correctly, the top of her femur by landing badly on the trampoline. Two hospital visits, & she is now the proud owner of a pink sparkly plaster cast! With purple glitter on it - it's not blood!

    Annette - I was hoping someone would look the aqueduct up. It is very impressive. I have walked along the towpath many times and been over it in a boat at least 3 times. That bit is scary because on the other side, there is no barrier whatsoever. You are just floating in the trough of water and it is straight down!!! I will try and find a picture (not mine) and send it.
    Lindy - what a shame for Rosy. These things happen don’t they? She looks very sorry for herself. They do some good plasters don’t they? Hoe long will it be on for?

    Rusty:   Eeeeek!   I'm not at all sure about that - congrats on braving the ride across.  (Not quite sure how I'd feel about walking over either.)

    Lindybird:  Oh dear, but kiddies' casts are very colorful these days - almost something to be envied.  How long is Amber going to be in it?  Ms. D had one a couple of years back - something about protecting the growth plate.....

    At first, it was thought that she would need the plaster for about 6 weeks, but after seeing a specialist today, it seems its about 3 weeks. She is hoping to stay at home for the rest of this week, then perhaps go into pre school again.

    I've seen the famous aqueduct from a distance, on the ground. My sis in law Sue has driven her narrow boat across it! It looks huge from the ground and very impressive.
