This is a new thread following the Osprey nest at Alyth electricity sub station, located in the Perth and Kinross region.
The Ospreys have nested at the site for many years, first year was around 1990.
They were nesting on a nearby electricity tower, but due to a planned expansion of the site a decision was taken to resite the old nest to a specially constructed 25-metre nesting tower and two nearby 8.5 metre resting perches, which were erected in 2014. Advice was sought from Roy Dennis.Since that first breeding season in 2014, a total of 14 osprey chicks have been observed to have fledged from the new site.
The resident ospreys are called Harry and Flora, named by a local school in Alyth. All pupils were also given their own osprey soft toy as a thank you from the teams for getting involved and for showing such enthusiasm about the ospreys.

Thanks Wendy. Flora sort of stepped out of the plastic bag at 12.51
It remained in the centre of the nest.
When Flora got up to walk to the rim, she dragged some grass bedding with her which covered the plastic up.
Flora fish calling.
Unwittingly she is uncovering the plastic bag again.
Fish delivery
Flora quickly takes the fish and leaves.
Harry does some nest work. Plastic bag just underneath him.
He scrapes in the cup and kicks it to the outer rim.
I hope it blows away.

Harry flies onto the nest to meet Flora returning with the tail end of her fish.
He’s very excited to be getting this, squealing in delight as he takes it from her talons.
And off he goes leaving Flora on the nest.
Ten minutes later, Harry is back with a tiny tail end of the fish.
Flora looks but says nothing. They sit quietly together for a couple of minutes.
So Harry leaves again with the tail end.
After eating the fish tail, Harry returns to the nest 10 minutes later to mate and mates again a wee while after that.
Then later on when Flora is on the nest, the white plastic bag finally blows away. She watches it fall.
The birds have been to and from the nest. Flora has been asking for fish.
Harry arrives
Are you listening to me?!
Harry leaves the nest and has been away since. Flora is still there as it’s getting dark, calling for fish.
20.41, she’s still on the nest waiting. (Quietly)
No more fish for Flora tonight. She stayed until 21.04.31
Then returned to the perch just over 10 minutes later.
