Heather - that is great news. He could go the scientific way maybe. Well done to his parents for perseverance with him.

OH Annette, feel for you and the family. Let's hope he decides to sell the family home and move to a smaller dwelling nearer his daughter. Hopefully, then, he will not feel isolated. Hope it works out for him. I am just grateful that our dau is living with me in the family home as I did think of moving to a bungalow but couldn;t face all the upheaval of packing up nescessary items and getting rid of un-needed ones.

I too, remember Margo's posts and when she was a volunteer.

OG - Unfortunately we had had Milo for about 10 months when he collapsed at home , unable to use his back legs and my dau noticed that one of his front paws was also not in use. She rushed him down to the vets and he pronounced that it was like a stroke in an adult. Blood clots had broken away and had paralysed his legs and there was nothing more they could do.

I'm exhausted! I've been shopping, put a chilli into the slow cooker, cooked some potatoes for potato salad, watered the plants, dead-headed the roses, collected plums, damsons and apples from the orchard ... and all before 9.00am! Now I won't feel guilty sitting in front of the Test Match later.

I remember Margo's posts - always very readable and interesting, whatever the subject. I didn't get to meet her, but felt I knew quite a lot about her through her posts. I know she was passionate about the Poole project and I'm sure she would be thrilled to know how things are progressing. This is a great place to 'meet' people you wouldn't come across in your everyday life - long may it thrive!!

Sunny here too Lindy and I am off to play golf! An important ladies day. We are having an afternoon tea after the game. Should be very pleasant.

Only just been able to come on and post -- very bad internet connection here which I suspect may be because of someone streaming films or something, which is forbidden as its unfair on a shared signal. :-(

Plenty of sunshine today and we enjoyed a stroll around Caernarfon followed by a lazy afternoon and a coffee with friends. A few extra people have turned up here, no doubt encouraged by the weather. It felt quite festive in the early evening, with lots of folks sitting out enjoying the warmth and calm weather.
