  • If/when Scylla reads this, FEEL BETTER SOON! We miss you!
  • 21.13 Asha joined 1C1 on the nest from the dead tree. 1C2 had been lying side by side with 1C1 until not long before and flew off. I can't find when (on my tablet which isn't precise) 1C2 joined them on the nest so all three of them are hoping for a late supper!

  • Scylla did like one of my posts today. Thumbsup tone1
  • Thank you all for thinking of me - I'm in such a trough, physically and mentally Frowning2

SHEILA, don't you dare worry about repeating anyone or anything else, your commentaries are brilliant, today's even surpassed previous

I started this video early yesterday morning, to show that 1C2 had been on the nest all night and that KL5 (probably) had been around, unseen (the flyer-by may have been 1C2 on its curvy way to the nest), very early:

    KL5's 08:41 visit:

Asha and 1C2 had been on the nest as if expecting a fish, but first Asha, then 1C2 flew, both gone by 21:45, leaving 1C1 alone for the night.

    That's my lot for now.

Just managed to brighten this from the live stream - 1C1's appearance still not encouraging, but we'll see:

    G'night for now :)))

So sorry to read that, scylla. Hope you perk up very soon. This forum wouldn't be the same without you!

IC1 is a little more upright now but we need her to perk up.

It was very nice to see you scylla, and I hope you perk up soon too x

  • Good morning on and all.  Wonderful to see Scylla with us again:  just take your time and pop in if you are able.  I hope our positive vibes are of some help.

I haven't been thru the vid properly this morning, but Asha brought in what looked like decent fish, but not a whopper (bad light).  As ever 1C2 fought for, and gained it, while1C1 stood passively and submissively by.  1C2 was looking particularly dark on the chest before Asha appeared.

    1C2's dark breast marking

09.46.11  Asha arrives with a fish, from the right side.  Had she been eating it on a perch in that direction, or did she fly in from there?

Asha landed and they all looked around - intruder in the area?

    - before 1C2 approached from he rear and grabbed the fish from Asha, which was firmly caught in her talons.  A tug ensued

Is this progress?  At least 1C1 is not lying down all the time now, even if she does have her eyes closed.  I don't think she is going to get much of this fish.

  • 10.03 Asha takes over the fish, and feeds 1C2. 1C1 makes no attempt to beg for food.
10.08 Something catches her eye, and Asha INTRUDER chips. 1C1 slowly falls to the floor, 1C2 looks, half mantling, but unsure whether to go down or not.
10.09 Asha continues calling and mantling. 1C2 now drops to the floor. No sign of who, but I would guess it is our friend KL5 again
10.10 Intruder incident appeared to be over and 1C2 continued eating the fish.
10.11 But Asha suddenly flew off the nest. 1C2 watched her. I couldn't see anything in the sky.
10.13 1C2 continues eating the fish. 1C1 is still flat on the nest.
10.40 1C2 appears to be picking up dropped pieces and looking around for more.
10.44 1C2 flew off, and possibly flew to the old nest - someone flew from or over the trees beyond the old nest.
10.51 Yay!! now 1C2 has gone, 1C1 stood up. Opened her wings, possibly a poo, but I'm unsure about that - has she eaten enough? She looks a little weak, as the wind blows her. But at least she is up.

  • Is this progress, albeit slowly?

She looks much happier when 1C2 isn't around, although they are find when there is no food to claim.
