So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

There were no more fish deliveries or visits to the nest from Laddie.
Both juvies were together on the nest until LR0 (front) flew off at 20:18ish (pic prior to him leaving)
LP8 remained there and was calling for fish before flying off at 20:50ish
20:52ish I assume this was LR0 who landed on its roosting perch on the birch, after a (vocal) flight above the nest. A heron was standing on the water's edge
Just after, the heron took flight, low over the Loch
Almost immediately, LP8 (presumably) left the cam post and headed towards the birch...
...and flew behind the tree (marked), LP8's usual area for roosting
Only one on the birch before night cam came on at 21:15

Morning all,
LP8 is 97 days old, LR0 is 95 days old
Both were calling for fish at 6:57 - LP8, who was on the cam post, left that and headed to the birch
7:08 LR0 preening while on the perch, LP8 still on the birch
No breakfish as yet
7:31 Both shouting for fish, I wonder if they can see Laddie? LP8 on the left
Edit: 7:34 Both flew off the nest - LR0 followed LP8 towards the birch area
7:56 LP8 on the perch having arrived at 7:50. LR0 was heard calling on the cam post at the same arrival time
It's raining.
8:23 A large, headless fish from Laddie to LP8 who was already on the nest. LR0 was on the cam post shouting
LP8 took the fish off nest at 8:34
LP8 did not go to the birch to continue to eat its meal
9:10 Presently, LR0 (fish calling) is back on the nest after heading off at 8:57
Hi patily, he's been on and off the nest. Hoping Laddie delivers a fish to LR0 soon.
15:23 Laddie with a fish for LR0. It was only a small one but very eagerly taken! LR0 arrived on the nest just before Laddie
LP8 landed on the nest shortly after
