So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

At 8:21ish, LR0 landed on the birch (hopefully, with his fish) from the cam post
A short while later, crows were cawing very loudly - LP8 could be seen chasing after one
The chase carried on over the birch area
LP8 making its way back to the nest
As LP8 arrived on the nest perch, the crow landed on the birch...much to LR0's annoyance
9:08ish, LR0 left the birch
The cam juddered as he landed with a thud on the cam post
LP8 fish called, as did LR0

9:26 LP8 patiently (at the time) waiting for a fish
LR0 still on the cam post
9:31 LP8 headed over to the birch
A fish, at last, for LP8 at 9:50. LR0 had been waiting on the nest, LP8 flew in from the birch just before Laddie delivered the fish
LR0 was first to collect it
A game of tug-o'-fish..
...which LP8 won
10:16 A pause with eating then LP8 took its fish off the nest and headed to the birch
LR0 left the nest at 10:24 and landed on the low branch of the birch
At present (10:32) LR0 is back on the nest, calling for fish

LP8 arrived to an empty nest at 17:48, fish calling. LR0 above the cam calling too
There have been no further fish deliveries since this morning

19:34 A small fish from Laddie to LP8 - the youngster followed him to the nest from the birch (had been on NC0's perch). LR0 remained there
LR0 left his perch just as Laddie was approaching the birch area
LP8 guarding the fish as LR0 landed on the cam post
I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but LP8 rubbed its right eye on its shoulder a couple of times and, on occasion, kept it closed
LP8 headed off to the birch with the fish.
20:05ish LR0 left the cam post.
He made his way around, and then behind, the birch before coming back into view, having a lovely flight over the Loch
Then landed on the birch, to the left of LP8
LP8 left its perch at 20:33ish and headed low behind the tree (marked)
LR0 still on his roosting perch just before night cam came on at 21:10
Hoping there's a nice, early breakfish delivery in the morning
