So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

Laddie with a fabulous headless fish at 20:10 - LP8 had just returned to the nest in order to claim it. LR0 was eating his fish
Laddie looks in such superb condition!
Just wonderful to see!

20:56 A crow quickly jumped onto the nest to nab a dropped morsel! lol
At 21:15, LP8 walked away from its meal and flew off from the nest
LP8 had a wonderful full crop
LR0 shooed a crow away
A crow then went onto the perch, jumped onto the nest and stole the remainder of LP8's fish!
LP8 did not fly over the Loch to land on the birch
21:35 LR0 was still eating after night cam had come on
He stepped away from it moments after
He jumped up onto the perch...
But got spooked when what appeared to be a Barn Owl headed towards the nest
He left the nest, the Barn Owl veered off out of view
22:58 I wonder who will be first to an early breakfish in the morning - LP8, LR0 or a crow?!
Morning all, Ha, one name that I didn't mention...Laddie took the fish at 5:29ish!
Possibly two on the birch. One was vocalising when Laddie came to the nest
Laddie re-delivered the fish piece at 6:06. LR0 (noisily!) came to the nest to take it from him
LR0 flew from behind the cam
7:13 ENS at present. On scroll back, I can't see that LP8 has been to the nest so far this morning
Today, LP8 is 94 days old, LR0 is 92 days old
8:08 LR0 down to the nest from the cam post
Calling for fish
8:17
LP8 has still not made an appearance
LR0 flew off to the birch at 8:22
Still there at 8:39
I'm off until later this afternoon. BFN
I've had a quick scroll through the footage since my post this morning. LP8 made its first appearance to the nest just before 9:15 Here's a 'brief' report on fish deliveries that I could find (all are -'ish' times):
Laddie with a fish for LP8 at 12:06
15:45 Laddie to an empty nest with a tiny fish - LR0 flew in to take it
19:24 LR0 with a small 'live' one from Laddie
LP8 was fish calling on the cam post
LR0 swallowing the fish tail at 19:48
LR0 has spent quite a bit of time on the nest this afternoon
