So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

9:01 LR0 walked away from the remainder of the fish, there appeared to be only long, straggly skin left over
LP8 didn't say no! lol
After pulling pieces off from the fish skin to eat, LP8 swallowed the rest of the long strand at 9:18
Today, LP8 and LR0 are 93 and 91 days old respectively
11:18 LP8 shouted while on the cam post and flew off. Immediately, an intruder? passed over the nest extremely quickly. Distant chipping could be heard
After its flight round, LP8 returned to the nest perch, shouting
LP8 left the nest at 11:26 and headed over towards the birch area
12:41 Both on the nest at present, taking a break from fish calling. LP8 nearest to the cam
From scroll back: Good grief, what on earth did Laddie bring to an empty nest at 14:10? It looked like a long piece of fish skin
He waited for well over 3 minutes for a juvie to arrive
LR0 came screeching in
Made an attempt to take it...
But Laddie flew off, taking the skin off with him
It did not get re-delivered!
Laddie brought a TWO fish delivery at 15:22ish! One each for LP8 and LR0!
LR0 took the smallest fish, which was closer to him
LP8 took the other one
Another delivery from Laddie at 17:59, much larger this time!
LP8 got to it a fraction before LR0
18:24 LR0 waiting, LP8 still tucking in
LR0 couldn't wait any longer and took the fish from LP8 at 19:18
He put his left talons onto the fish and pulled while LP8 still had its grip on the fish
