So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

20:52 Another small fish from Laddie, LR0 first to it...
BUT... after a bit of an argy-bargy with LP8 and, in his haste to take the fish off nest, he must have released his grip
An easy pick up for LP8
LR0 did fly back over towards the nest but I don't think he landed on the cam post

IMAGICAT
LR0 reappeared on the nest 8 minutes or so before LP8 finished the fish at 21:04
LP8 headed off at 21:06, flying high over the birch and out of sight (area marked)
LR0 stayed on the nest, looking around
And, after a few calls, flew from the nest and landed on NC0's birch perch at 21:11
21:30 ENS since he left
Morning all,
LP8 and LR0 are 91 and 89 days old respectively
There was a fish from Laddie at 6:52. LP8 took it before LR0
As LP8 claimed it, Laddie flapped backwards
But managed to right himself to get back onto the nest
LR0 approached LP8, LP8 flew off with the fish in its beak
Laddie left as well
Was this Laddie chasing LP8?
The 'chaser' flew over the birch and away
LP8 returned to the perch with the 'live' fish in its talons
LP8 took the fish off the nest at 7:12ish
15:00 A headless fish from Laddie to LR0 who was alone on the nest. LP8 had been on the birch but made its way to the nest
LR0 had already claimed it by the time LP8 arrived
LR0 enjoying his long awaited meal
15 minutes into his meal, he flew off the nest with it
He landed on the cam post
Then headed down to the perch
15:18 There was a low flight over the Loch
LP8 left the nest
15:33 LP8 was seen heading towards the nest but went out of view. LP8 could then be heard on the cam post before landing back on the nest, fish calling. LR0 continued with his meal
15:55 LR0 took his fish off the nest again
16:14 At present, LP8 is on the nest and I assume it is LR0 on the birch
A HUGE headless fish from Laddie to LP8 - 17:27
LP8 letting all and sundry know that it had a fish!
18:42 Presently...
