So, we now enter August knowing that we will only have the pleasure of watching this beautiful family all together for a limited number of weeks. Both LP8 and LR0 have transformed into two strong, independent individuals. Their attentive parents have continued to provide for and nurture them and this, in turn, has given the juveniles a basis to continue their growth into full adulthood, wherever they decide to settle during the next couple of years.Last season, NC0 began her southerly migration on the 22nd August; Laddie on the 25th (these dates were their last webcam sightings). We can only hope that all of the 2022 family have safe, unhindered journeys to warmer climes, aided by fair winds as well as an abundance of fish along the way, and that we will welcome Laddie and NC0 back to this stunning Loch of the Lowes location in the spring of 2023.

Now:
IMAGICAT
15:30 Laddie arrived to an empty nest with a small fish. LR0 flew to the nest to receive it, screeching all the way!
Laddie: "Ok, where is he?"
Laddie: "There you are!" There was distant shouting, LP8 on the birch (I assume)
He shouted, possibly at a crow or two
Had a quick taster
A look around
Then left the nest with his fish (not seen in this pic as the fish was in his right talons)

Presently (16:36), LR0 is back on the nest after arriving at 16:17. Hopefully, he had eaten all of his fish
Cheers Scylla! LR0 was the recipient
I was checking back to the time when he had left the nest, quite abruptly at 17:03. There was the sound of a nearby movement/fly-away (unseen) from a nearby tree - he was really spooked!
Gained some height
Then swerved to the left
Fish from Laddie, as reported by Scylla - 18:08
LR0 to the nest
It wasn't taken immediately, lots of shouting from LR0
Finally!
The little tiddler in LR0's beak
LP8 came down form the cam post, where it had been fish calling, at 18:22. LR0 was still eating his fish
LP8 did some jumps and flaps of its wings after landing
Both on alert at 18:30 when there was an unseen intruder
LP8 shouting for fish
A minute later, after some flapping and jumping, LP8 flew off to the lower branch of the birch
19:20 Both in their same positions, LR0 having an early evening doze

19:30 LP8 had just returned to the nest when they both began to shout and flap
Intruder flew overhead maybe?
Both were calm shortly after
