LOCH GARTEN June 2022

All quiet on the Osprey front. Mistle started gently food soliciting, then quiet, then stood up to reveal.........

,, what appeared to be a half eaten rainbow trout! No doubt Scylla will be able to get a much sharper image than me. All this happened about 5:45.  It was as stiff as a board. When was that delivered?

Afrer faffing around getting images 1 of them has come back to the nest and is incubating - can't tell which.

Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

  • Now I am blushing with the ineptitude of what I do:

    1.  Print screen after maximinising and freezing the live chat image (BTW your suggestion to reduce playback to 0.25 was invaluable!)

    2. Paste image ointo a word document with landscape orientation.

    3. Right click image and select 'save a picture'.I save it as a JPEG not the defailt option which I don't understand and can't remember. LOL!

    4. Open a 'post' box here, and select the file I have just created.

    Very simple.

    Like me!

I have, of course, written another email asking why!!!

Dear CRinger, have you got too much time on your hands?

I wd guess one reason is to minimise purveyors of porn, spammers, trolls, etc.

  • Oh heck, my edit was too late - not only that, but it was BOPS'd.

EDIT - and any discussion should be in the Technical Test 2022 thread.

I am far too busy 'ospreying' to have ANY time on my hands. Ahhhhh...... in my innocence I never thought of porn, spammers, trolls, etc.

Justseen your note about the Technical test thread and will now do as ordered. Yes ma'am.

  • Good Evening All
Thank you for all the fantastic updates.
Have been reading through the rather alarming behaviour of the agression started perhaps initially by Mistle but taken to the nth degree by Axel!
It reminded me of a similar situation a few years ago with Idris and Telyn at Dyfi! They were a new pairing.
This was the rather brilliant explanation provided by Ems which may help and apply here too!

Hopefully the link is allowed and will open!

  • You learn somethingnew all the time. I have NEVER known a male food solicit so much as Axel!!! Another sign it is a new pair?

  • All Axel wants is some shut eye, while all the time she is squacking in his ears, I think he also needs ear muffs!!

    A lovely night at LG.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
