Just as we had hoped, the middle of May proved to be a wonderful time with three successful hatches. Laddie, with his prolific fishing skills, is providing extremely well for his family and NC0’s attentive feeding for all three Osplets, is an absolute joy to watch! Let's hope everything continues to go well.

Another fish, smaller this time, just a short time ago at 15:50
The only time Laddie looked in this direction - hope his left eye is ok?
Edit: Laddie's eye is probably fine, it might just be me fretting! It was certainly ok when he landed with the 13:05 fish.

And another small fish from Laddie at 16:18 - the sixth delivery of the day.
His eye looks great!
Behaviour from NC0 was strange just before 17:00. She still had a remainder of the fish, chicks were resting. She suddenly jumped towards them both as if to let them know there was more fish on offer
Fish in her talons
A jump over to #1
She then backed off
Edit: I missed yet another fish delivery - 16:50 (#7)
19:28 Good grief, the smallest fish I think I've ever seen has just been delivered. Laddie did pay a rather short visit to the nest at 19:13, NC0 was fish calling then.
Morning all
Laddie was up very early this morning and delivered a very large headless fish at 3:40ish.
The chicks and NC0 had a good number of feeds from it until the fish was all gone, 2 and a half hours later.
Morning Glider, It is strange just to see the two chicks, #3 may have been small in stature but his presence on the nest was huge. Yes, ironically, Laddie has improved with his fishing, 8 (if you include a real tiddler) yesterday. Lots of 'what if/if only' thoughts have been running through my mind...
NC0 was defending the nest and chicks from an intruder flying close to it at 10:39ish

Oh yes Sandra, I know what you mean. Timing is everything I guess. Haha, our dear #3 certainly had tons of personality.
I'll always remember watching 'him' mimicking NC0's fish calls while sitting alongside her. Such a little darling who will never be forgotten.
