We could indeed see the chicks getting a bit of fish and once Maya finished with the fish think 33 will be straight in to grab it for himself as he on the post previously Maya's perch so very close!
Aww thank you for darvic confirmation and really hope this stranger in town is one of the 80's and not a Marsh Harrier disguised as an osprey which was my initial thought but definitely has osprey traits. Really hope to get to the bottom of it even if it means osp on our face.... instead of egg :-)
Getting colder only 6 layers on so far today but ready with 2 more if needed :-)

33 waited ages for that fish he wanted to make sure Maya had definitely done with it! It was him on the cam post when you correctly say he looked up and he took fish to fallen tree ate a good portion and back to deliver it to the nest.

I looked in about 15-20 minutes ago and chicks were sleeping, home alone and then within seconds Maya landed with some of that split wood stuff What is that? And where are they finding it?

On the spot report update: 33 was looking for an easy fish from the 'fishing tree' position. No such luck so onto cam post Maya telling him to try harder with supper and off he goes! What a good boy! He had a look in Heron Bay then off over the back out of sight hopefully back with a fish supper for his family!
He's back with no fish to nest!
Update on the osprey in the bay: It left at about 4.15 and has not yet returned.
Mentioned at vc they will check if any of the 2019 chicks been reported to Tim Mackrill and let us know.
33 since typing gone again can see him in the fishing tree!

Sorry correction to above 2020 chicks ie darvic rings 80 to 83 or perhaps any spotted in the bay but this did have lightish feathers still so not thinking it would be older than 2 yrs.
Patily not sure what the split wood is but she's getting it in the field at the back of the nest. Will keep a look out to see if can help answer that for you.

33 gone fishing right down towards the damn!
Hopefully this time he comes back with the late supper :-)
