Under the careful care and protection of Maya and 33(11), all three chicks have thrived and later this month we will learn more about them when ringing takes place.

Gosh, Karen, what a wonderful distinguishing feature! The chicks look fabulous and I can't believe their ages...how time has flown already! Thank you for your updates

18:30 Intruder and Maya is wing flapping and screeching!!
Maya takes off - chicks lying very still
Maya is really upset - screeching, on and off nest.

Almost 5 minutes has past and intruder still around. Maya takes off after it when it again passes the nest.
18:48 Threat, hopefully now passed but Maya remains alert on the nest

33 arrives with a live whopper and Maya drags it from him
33 flies off and feed gets underway

20:18 Feed over as chicks full and snuggled up
All chicks have been well fed today.

04:54 33 stands by as Maya feeds the chicks from last night's left over fish
06:40 chicks snoozing - 33 has left with the fish and & Maya on campost
06:42 33 returns with the fish and one chick has a nibble
06:45 Maya arrives and few minutes later, another feed gets underway
