5F Seren hatched at nest K, Rutland, from parents Red 08 (m) and Yellow 30 (f). Chris Wood, who volunteers at the Rutland osprey project, has been following her for at least 7 years to Tanji Marsh in the Gambia. She has been at this nest with Dylan since 2020, after suffering abandonment by bigamist Aran at Pont Croesor.
Seren returned on 26 March 2022.
Dylan is unringed, he's been breeding at this nest since 2016, when he ousted dear Dai Dot.

IMAGICAT
15 April
This was Seren's second helping from the breakfish - from what I can see, having only Cam2 for daylight, the first helping had them both behaving exactly the same, with Dylan standing over the egg. Are they anxious about the Goshawk or other intruder? A bit later I heard corvids.
After this mating Seren looked around for a little while and flew off:
Actually she flew around and up to the high perch:
For a preen - and the Jay has been sitting on the low perch for "quite some time":
The Jay twitched a muscle pre take-off and Dylan reacted instantly!
EDIT
According to me, we're still on 14 April Nightcam when we should have changed over half an hour ago ???
Another day when the egg got quite a bit of exposure.
There was an intruder alert late afternoon, nothing spectacular, I did the video hoping to bring out voices:
Dylan has just arrived, appearing to wish to take over, Seren is making as if to take a break but no! Dylan's flown off and Seren's left standing at the far end of the nest looking out. And she's flown up onto the far end of the low perch...

According to me - he got buzzed while waiting for Seren - was that Seren flying around or an intruder, and if the latter, was that why he didn't hand over the fish? - cos he didn't, he flew off with it. I haven't stopped to do slomo.
And I'm not stopping to see follow-up. Still just the one egg as I type :)

That's wonderful news! Here it is, Patily.
No labour seen prior to the reveal so it must have been laid under the cover of darkness
