All the HISTORY of Balgavies Loch Ospreys can be found at the start of the 2019 THREAD.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

and Blue YD gets a mention too :-)
I was so looking forward to catching up with this thread, anticipating some wonderful photos to cheer my heart - what a sad shock! Well, you did tell me at the beginning of the season, MARY, that this nest/tree was too unstable for a cam, I'm very sorry that you were proved right.
MaryGK said:I do know more but sadly as there has been so little interest in this nest on here I won’t bother. Some of the best photos of Ospreys are posted on this thread but no one seems interested any longer in them, which is all very sad really.
I hate to see you so disillusioned. As others have said, it's just not the same here any more. I started the season hoping to keep tabs on virtually all the cams but a combination of cam probs, tech probs, health probs (the usual overheating and its side effects) and creeping old age has meant that I've fallen massively short. Cams without timeline have been the first to go - it's as if they're deliberately excluding chroniclers (for want of the right word).
I agree that YT Chat has been damaging - it's not a platform I can take to, and Facebook is even more difficult (for me) to follow since their redesign - but those are popular with a different breed of Osprey fan, it seems.
When I started over 10 years ago I only followed the LG nest, what a luxury that was.
