All the HISTORY of Balgavies Loch Ospreys can be found at the start of the 2019 THREAD.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

The nest failed in 2020 and 2019 but the new male KR3 and Unringed female returned in 2021 and raised 3 chicks.

Darren went to Balgavies yesterday, stood for hours in the freezing cold and this Osprey landed on the nest for seconds and was chased away by crows. Still not sure if resident female. He will be going back today so fingers crossed he has more luck today.

Blue FX0 intruded at the Loch yesterday and probably the day before.
He also intruded on the 9th April 2021 - he is a male from Tweed Valley - hatched 2015.
EDIT: Sorry this is Darren's photo, I misunderstood

That we will never know Patily, not unless he is sighted elsewhere, although he obviously likes to check Balgavies out when he returns from migration.
Well the roller coaster begins.

Yes Patily - Darren and I have been comparing photos from previous years and we believe the unringed female on the nest is Mrs. BF.
Patily, Even happier news, we have received a message from someone at the Loch today to say that KR3 has arrived back.
