I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

12.20.51 Fish number four, headless BT
The nest is empty until Dorcha arrives, fish calling, and Louis arrives with a good size fish which is seized immediately. Both depart and there's a lovely view of the pair flying into the distance on the right side of the view. One goes right towards the loch and the other flies down the centre before turning left slightly and disappearing out of sight.
13.41.37 Dorcha returns bringing fish number four, Sarafina grabs it from her with much squeaking.
13.42.14 Louis arrives with a new fish, number five, headless BT.
13.43.36 Louis accidentally bumps Sarafina so she nips his wing, twice!
13.43.44 Louis departs leaving Sarafina with both fish four and five, and Dorcha just standing off on the right.
Fish number six 17.50.00 headless Brown Trout. Louis has upped his game!
18.05 Sarafina flies off from underneath the nest to the left, circles around, flies back and crash lands on Willow. Chunters about not having a fish then finally sees there'a a spare one already there and starts tucking in
Louis has done it again - two early breakfasts arrive, less than 30 minutes apart.
05.00.39 Fish number one, headless large BT
05.26.06 Fish number two, whole medium BT, flapping
Finally, another fish arrives - number three, headless BT 17.20.43
Upstart Crow: Edited video of its visits 10.40 to 12.36 Monday 1st August
It's quite proprietal, spends a lot of time poking around pecking scraps of fish, and then starts actual stick rearrangement. The hoodie seems to know the nest is now mainly unoccupied, and appears to be moving in.
21.40 Louis arrives in a camera glitch and does egg cupping.
Surprising behaviour so late in the season - after delivering four - six fish daily for some time, he takes a break, and after delivering two quick fish between 5-6am, he didn't bring the third and final fish until 5pm. Then he turns up at 9pm and starts enthusiastically getting the nest into order after the crow's visit, including hollowing out the centre, nest cupping.
