I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

Fledge!!! She's finally done it! 06.55.53, Sarafina took off from the right, flying strongly over to the left in full camera view before disappearing off the screen in the distance extreme left
I knew you’d be buzzing Geemeff! Beautiful morning for it - lovely sunrise just before 05.00.
You’ll need to do a video of Sarafina’s first landing too! Lol Poor dad!
06.55 - 06.57 A fledge, a fish, and a crash landing as Sarafina fledges and returns landing on Louis who’s just brought fish number three to an empty nest. What a morning!
Oh, and there were two early fish deliveries this morning, but got a bit lost in the FLEDGE excitement! But worth noting, as with two fish with12 min 38 secs between deliveries, he only just missed this year's record of12 mins 11 secs on 24/6/22
Fish number one, whole smallish flapper BT 04.35.50
Fish number two, another whole flapper BT, bit bigger 04.48.28

Such a confident flight, it was beautiful! And the landing was a classic - think I was separating out the recordings while you were posting, GliderI Very kind of her to fly in front of the camera.
As you can imagine, the Woodland Trust forum is absolutely incandescent with joy, lots of happy comments and lots of donating to their Fledge Funds What with that, this forum, Adam's forum, Twitter and YouTube, I'm just having my first cup of tea now - and I've been up since 5.30!
And 08.22 made her second flight. Now she's done it, taken that big leap, how much will be see of her?
